1 Mark Your Calendar
Although the green interval system allows you the ability to choose which days you want to cleanse yourself with each week, many of our practitioners find beginning on a Monday more beneficial because it starts the week out correctly. Make sure you take some time to figure out what you want to do each day. If you plan to cleanse on the weekend, you may have a problem when your friends call you up for drinks.
2 H20
Drink at least 12oz or 500ml of purified water every two hours. You may also choose decaffeinated tea. Do this between each juicing interval. This will help your digestive system and boost metabolism.
3 On The go
Everyone likes to eat out sometimes and, when it comes to being on a date or with your friends, this situation is obviously going to arise. So, in order to keep yourself on the right track make sure to order small portions and stop eating when you feel full. Make sure you eat small meals throughout the day, if you’re usually on the go, rather than big calorie rich meals.
4 Freshin’ it up
When you’re at home only use fresh ingredients both in your juice and your food. Keeping it fresh will ensure that you not only get the most nutritional value out of your food, but that you also maximize flavor. The danger of using produce that isn’t fresh is a decrease in enzymes and faster oxidization.
5 Go Organic
It’s not all the time that you can go organic, but when you can, do it. Using organic, unprocessed produce both for your juice and food will be devoid of the necessary enzymes and will be much quicker to oxidize.
6 Read
Always read the nutrition labels on the food you buy. Make it a habit. This will allow you to become more aware of the sugar, calories, carbohydrates, and protein you put into your body. When you see produce that has preservatives or chemicals in it that you are not familiar with, beware. Also, remember that the less ingredients, the more pure the food.
7 Chill
Relax your body and mind. One of the best ways to do this is by using techniques such as meditation, yoga, tai chi, or martial arts. You may also choose to take long baths, get a massage, or try out breathing exercises. Studies have shown that, when we are stressed, the body goes into defense mode. This, in turn, releases minerals and hormones that get in the way of losing weight, being healthy and maintain a healthy mental state. Learning how to manage everyday stress rather than avoiding it and letting it fester is one of the best things you can do.
8 Pure Input
Understanding about the nutritional benefits of the ingredients in your food will help you control your eating habits. For example, carrot juice in the morning makes your day feel lighter, so you should enjoy that regularly.
9 Chew
Did you know that many people don’t chew correctly? Although it seems like such a natural reaction, the fact is that many people are losing nutrients by not chewing their food enough. Chewing breaks down the nutrients in your food so that it can be more fully digested by your body. It also helps your metabolism. our practitioner often tell us how much the enjoy ‘chewing’ each juice serving, don’t just chug it down, think of it as a meal.

    I am worried about going out to eat, I’ve done other diets before and that has been my downfall, but the advice about small portions is good. I am going to try to do it better.

    Just wondering how often everyone buys produce since freshest is best. Not everyday, right?

      No, not everyday. I stock up at a farmer’s market once a week, then buy extra stuff at the store like once or twice during the week as well. yes it’s a lot but its worth it!

      This was my biggest concern when I started – 51 pounds ago! I go like every other day – but i’m only buying what i need for the next two days, so it’s not that bad. Like all this stuff, once it becomes part of your lifestyle, it’s easy.
